It started with me telling people I am away for 9 weeks and now it’s down to the last three. Every time I pressed submit on an empty timesheet for work, I would tell my friends, that’s one week done out of nine. This Friday, I complete seven weeks.
Time does fly by really quickly. I remember a few friends asked me what I planned to do in the nine weeks I would be away and I told them I had no plans. I really did not. The last seven weeks were just waking up and figuring out what I felt like doing that day. One day in Madeira, my friend and I just ended up being in a hotel room coding, and that day was as good as the day we spent exploring the city from 9 in the morning till late at night.
Two weeks left on this trip and I have no plans for the rest of the journey. Excited and looking forward to meeting friends and family in Oman and then in India. Also equally looking forward to being back in Sydney meeting friends there, being back at work and starting to prepare for Hyrox.
