For a long time, every time I came up with an idea I wanted to work on, I put too much pressure on it. It had to be the idea, the one that hit it out of the park. The winning idea. The idea that lots of people used, loved, and talked about.

But age (and experience) has taught me something important: putting all that weight on a single idea is never helpful. In fact, it often gets in the way.

Now I try to approach things differently: show up, do the best you can, and enjoy the work itself.

It’s a new kind of freedom. One that makes working on ideas lighter, easier, and far more fun.
