The more I think about it, the more I realize this has been the problem over the last few months when it comes to making progress on a passion project.
Shipping the landing page was easy. I wanted to stick to the basics—plain HTML and CSS—and it was live in a day.
The backend and mobile app, however, have been a different story. I’ve tried and switched between four different choices. Everything had to be perfect before I could dive deep into implementing the idea.
That all stops this weekend. I was reminded to Choose Boring Technology. Experimental frameworks are great, but when they get in the way of progress, it’s better to stick to the basics and choose boring technology.
